Every Grand Feast Board begins with a locally sourced slab of black walnut, chosen for its character and depth. Each piece is planed, sanded, and shaped by hand to preserve the natural live edge while maintaining balance and usability. Epoxy resin is carefully applied to fill any natural voids, ensuring a durable, food-safe surface without compromising the beauty of the grain.
Once the shaping and filling are complete, each board is sanded to a smooth finish and treated with multiple coats of Howard’s Cutting Board Oil and Wax. This finishing process enhances the natural tones of the walnut and adds a soft luster while protecting the wood from moisture.
Because each board is individually handcrafted, no two will ever be identical—each carries its own grain pattern, color tone, and organic flow. This is functional art: a serving piece designed for use, admired for its craftsmanship, and made to last for years.
