Coastal Drift is a handcrafted 24-inch round accent table inspired by the movement of waves rolling onto shore. Real sand is incorporated directly into the design, creating the warm shoreline before layers of turquoise, ocean blue and white epoxy form dimensional waves across the surface.
Each layer was poured by hand to create depth, movement and the delicate lacing of sea foam. A crystal-clear epoxy finish seals the entire tabletop beneath a smooth, glossy surface while intensifying the colors and dimensional effect of the water below.
From sandy shallows to deep ocean blue, the tabletop shifts in color across the piece just as water changes approaching the shoreline.
The wave pattern isn't printed or applied artwork. The beach, water and foam are created through individually worked layers of sand and resin, making the surface itself the artwork.
Because epoxy develops organically as it moves and cures, the exact currents, cells and wave formations in Coastal Drift cannot be duplicated.
