🌙 Behind the Painting: The Story of “A Haunting We Will Go”
Every October, there’s a brief and beautiful moment — when the laughter fades, the cider cools, and the world feels caught between autumn’s warmth and Halloween’s mystery. A Haunting We Will Go was inspired by that quiet in-between.
We imagined our little ghost leaving a small-town fall festival, clutching a pumpkin won from a game booth and pastel bat balloons that glow softly under the moonlight. The walk home is peaceful — the kind of evening that smells like leaves and bonfires, where the only sound is the crunch of boots and the faraway echo of laughter.
This piece was painted in layers of acrylics to create a dreamy, storybook depth — blending warmth, whimsy, and a touch of melancholy. Every brushstroke is a nod to those fleeting autumn nights that linger in memory long after the season fades.
🎨 From Our Studio
Painted in our upstate New York workshop, A Haunting We Will Go is part of our Whimsically Haunted series — a collection that celebrates the softer, cozier side of spooky. Each piece is individually hand-painted, sealed, and signed, ensuring no two are ever alike.
